Anniversary and November 2024 Funding Update
Today marks the two-year anniversary for Darkfriend.social. While we are still a very small community, we are still here. Many larger Mastodon instances have come and gone in that time, but by remaining a small site with a niche target audience we have managed to avoid many of the pitfalls of the larger sites.
In the last few weeks there have been some changes announced on ExTwitter which caused a large portion of the Wheel of Time fanbase there to look elsewhere. While they unfortunately did not make their way to us, a lot of them did make their way to Bluesky. If you are interested in being able to reunite with them, you can use the bridge:

I want to thank each and every one of you that have donated to help cover the costs for Darkfriend.social in the last two years. I also want to thank any member that hasn’t donated, just for being here.
